On April 21, an educational event on “Protecting the Rights of Women Working in Production” was held at “Cahan İnşaat” LLC.

The event was opened with an introductory speech by Azər Cəfərov, Head of the Office of “Cahan Group of Companies,” who highlighted the importance of the topic for society.

 Firuza Huseynova, Chief Advisor of the Department of Family, Women’s Issues, and Gender Issues at the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, stated that concessions and privileges for women are implemented in various countries to support social equality, gender equality, and women’s rights. She emphasized that worldwide, human rights protection, especially women’s rights, remains a critical focus, and Azerbaijan is actively working to protect women’s rights.

Following this, speakers included Cavad Cavadov from the State Labor Inspection Service under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Nuray Kərimova, Senior Specialist at the Nakhchivan Entrepreneurs Confederation, and Sevinc Abbasova, Doctor of Historical Sciences and Professor at Nakhchivan State University.

 They informed participants that laws exist to ensure equal rights for women and to prevent discrimination against women in the workplace. The event featured a discussion format and included the screening of a video clip related to the topic.
