“Cahan Group” holds regular occupational safety awareness events; latest at “ENNA” LLC.

“Cahan Group of Companies” continues organizing regular occupational safety awareness events. The latest event was held at “ENNA” LLC.

 

 

The latest event was held at “ENNA” LLC, jointly organized by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Labour Inspectorate Service, and the Occupational Safety Center.

Representatives from other ministry departments and employees of “ENNA” LLC participated in the meeting.

 

The event covered detailed information on occupational safety and hygiene, workplace certification, recent amendments to the Labor Code, activities of the Occupational Safety Center, as well as newly adopted standards related to occupational safety.

 

The requirements of labor legislation were brought to the attention of the participants.

Following the presentations, participants’ questions on the discussed topics were answered.

Shusha Hosted the 6th ECO Business Forum

On July 2, the 6th Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Business Forum was held in the city of Shusha. The event was organized by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Export and Investment Promotion Agency – AZPROMO, the ECO Secretariat, and the ECO Chamber of Commerce and Industry Confederation.

 

The forum was held as part of the “ECO Week,” initiated for the first time by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. The event brought together government officials, representatives of ECO and other international organizations, as well as heads of chambers of commerce and industry from ECO member states.

 

Participants discussed the deepening of economic cooperation among member countries, regional investment opportunities, digitalization of transport and logistics systems, and the establishment of unified platforms to simplify customs procedures. It was emphasized that increased involvement of the private sector in shaping regional strategies, along with strengthening public-private partnerships on an institutional basis, is of great importance.

 

It should be noted that Vugar Abbasov, Vice President of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation, Chairman of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Entrepreneurs Confederation, and Founder of the “Cahan Group of Companies,” also took part in the forum.

First, the event participants visited the monument of National Leader Heydar Aliyev located in the center of Nakhchivan city, laid flowers at its base, and paid their deep respects. The event then continued at the Heydar Aliyev Palace. The chairman of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Entrepreneurs Confederation and Member of Parliament, Vuqar Abbasov, also took part in the event.

On September 26, the 2nd Economic Forum of the member countries of the Azerbaijan-Gulf Cooperation Council was held in Baku.

On September 26, the 2nd Economic Forum of the member countries of the Azerbaijan-Gulf Cooperation Council was held in Baku. The forum was organized with the support of the Ministry of Economy and by the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO).

Yusif Abdullayev, Executive Director of AZPROMO, noted that the first economic forum of the Azerbaijan-Gulf Cooperation Council member countries was held in Baku in 2017. The forum discussed cooperation with the Gulf countries in renewable and clean energy, electricity, and water sectors, as well as the challenges and opportunities in transportation and logistics between the Council and Azerbaijan. It is worth noting that the management team of Cahan Group of Companies LLC also participated in the forum.

The tour was attended by company executives from Latvia, Estonia, and Finland who were on a business visit, as well as representatives of the Chambers of Commerce of these countries. The guests visited ENNA LLC, one of the leading enterprises of Cahan Group of Companies LLC.

The visitors were provided with detailed information about the enterprise and the energy drinks produced there.

A memorandum of cooperation supporting innovative development was signed between Nakhchivan State University, the Entrepreneurs Confederation, and "Cahan Holding".

The rector of Nakhchivan State University, Elbrus Isayev, provided detailed information about the activities of the higher education institution. He stated that traditionally, the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Entrepreneurs Confederation and Cahan Holding Group of Companies have always supported students both materially and morally. They have encouraged student participation in international projects and consistently prioritized their financial and moral support.

Following this, Vuqar Abbasov, chairman of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Entrepreneurs Confederation and founder of Cahan Holding, emphasized that one of the main goals of the ongoing reforms in the country is to train local professional personnel and ensure that young people take their rightful place in local enterprises. He noted that students should make effective use of the favorable conditions created for them through these initiatives. Young people who constantly seek to learn and gain experience develop into professional specialists and have a significant impact on economic development.

Subsequently, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Nakhchivan State University, the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Entrepreneurs Confederation, and Cahan Holding Group of Companies. The memorandum outlines expanding cooperation between the university and these organizations, enabling students of the Faculty of Economics to participate in large-scale projects, trainings, and internship programs with the Confederation and Cahan Holding. It also includes plans for organizing scientific-practical conferences, seminars, trainings, courses, and motivational meetings within the framework of cooperation. Additionally, a series of events will be held in the university’s upcoming Technopark in collaboration with Cahan Holding, aiming to combine academic potential with industry.

At the end of the event, Nakhchivan State University Rector Elbrus Isayev presented gifts to Vuqar Abbasov, chairman of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Entrepreneurs Confederation and founder of Cahan Holding.

At the meeting, Arzu Abdullayev, Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and Public Relations at Nakhchivan State University (NDU), provided information about Vuqar Abbasov, president of Cahan Holding Group of Companies and chairman of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Entrepreneurs Confederation. He also reviewed the ongoing cooperation between the university and Cahan Holding.

It was noted that over many years of collaboration, special projects have been carried out jointly with the company. The Vice-Rector expressed confidence that the recent contract signed with Cahan Holding will further strengthen this cooperation.

Arzu Abdullayev emphasized the special importance of Vuqar Abbasov’s meeting with the students. Vuqar Abbasov, founder of Cahan Holding and chairman of the Nakhchivan Entrepreneurs Confederation, highlighted that government bodies, non-governmental organizations, relevant institutions, and enterprises should support universities.

Vuqar Abbasov gave students a detailed overview of the history and fields of activity of Cahan Holding, shared his personal experiences, and discussed the modern criteria necessary for building a business today.

The event continued as a discussion, during which Vuqar Abbasov answered students’ questions.

At NDU, "Vuqar Abbasov", president of "Cahan Holding", met with students.

On April 6, 2024, a meeting was held at the Nakhchivan Main Customs Department with the Chairman and members of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Entrepreneurs Confederation, as well as other foreign trade participants and customs representatives.

The event began with an opening speech by Vuqar Aliyev, Chief of the Nakhchivan Main Customs Department and Customs Service Major General. He spoke about the implementation of the risk-based automated customs control management system, speeding up the passage of goods and vehicles through customs checkpoints, stimulating entrepreneurial activity by creating favorable conditions for those who voluntarily comply with customs regulations, and increasing transparency by minimizing direct contact between officials and citizens.

Following this, Vuqar Abbasov, Chairman of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Entrepreneurs Confederation, noted that recent reforms aimed at improving the level and quality of customs services have positively contributed to easing the work of entrepreneurs.

Rashad Bayramov, Deputy Chief of the Nakhchivan Main Customs Department and Customs Service Captain, presented the “Customs DEVELOPMENT Model,” explaining its seven main components, ongoing projects, and planned initiatives. He also introduced the “Smart-Bot” mobile application, describing it as a 24-hour electronic customs guide for citizens. Video clips related to these new projects were then shown.

Rza Rzali, Head of the Customs Clearance Center and Customs Service Captain, spoke about the Green Corridor Release System, outlining its purpose and advantages, and invited entrepreneurs to use this system.

Heydar Samedli, Head of the Investigation Department of the Operations and Investigation Directorate and Customs Service Captain, shared information on violations detected during customs clearance.

At the end of the meeting, participants’ questions were answered.

A conference dedicated to the "25th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Confederation of Entrepreneurs" was held.

On April 25, a conference titled “A New Era in Azerbaijan’s Socio-Economic Development” was held at the Gulustan Palace with the participation of entrepreneurs. The event was organized by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) and the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan, with the support of the Ministry of Economy, dedicated to Entrepreneurs’ Day and the 25th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Confederation of Entrepreneurs.

The event was attended by ministers of economy, labor and social protection, members of the Milli Majlis (Parliament), representatives of relevant government bodies, public associations of entrepreneurs, and businesspeople from various sectors.

The conference began with a visit by participants to the Alley of Honor, where they paid tribute to National Leader Heydar Aliyev by laying a wreath at his grave. It officially started with the National Anthem of Azerbaijan and a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs who gave their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

The conference featured speeches by:

  • Sahil Babayev, Minister of Labor and Social Protection

  • Elnur Aliyev, First Deputy Minister of Economy

  • Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of KOBIA

The speeches emphasized the role of Heydar Aliyev in the development of a market-based economy and private sector in Azerbaijan, the successful continuation of this policy under President Ilham Aliyev, the importance of private sector growth, the role of entrepreneurs in social welfare and employment, the priority given to the development of small and medium businesses, and the value of public-private dialogue.

Documentaries highlighting the development of entrepreneurship and the 25-year history of the Confederation were presented. A number of entrepreneurs were awarded for their contributions to public-private dialogue. Among the awardees was Vuqar Abbasov, Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Confederation of Entrepreneurs.

At the end of the conference, a statement was adopted on behalf of the participants addressed to President Ilham Aliyev.

The event concluded with a cultural performance.

A conference dedicated to "Occupational Safety Day" and the "100th anniversary" was held in "Nakhchivan"

On the occasion of April 28 – World Day for Safety and Health at Work and the 100th anniversary of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, a conference titled “The Impact of Climate Change on Occupational Safety” was held in Nakhchivan.

 

The conference featured speeches and panel discussions with the participation of Fuad Najafli, the Authorized Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Sahil Babayev, Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, Vuqar Abbasov, Vice President of the Azerbaijan Confederation of Entrepreneurs, and other government officials.

 

Employers with strong occupational safety practices and NGOs contributing to public awareness of labor and social rights were awarded at the event. Among the awardees was Ruslan Alimardanov, Executive Director of ENNA LLC, a production facility of Cahan Group of Companies LLC.
The certificate of appreciation was presented to him by Musa Guliyev, Member of the Milli Majlis and Chairman of the Committee on Labor and Social Policy.
