On April 11, the 6th meeting of the Azerbaijan–Moldova Intergovernmental Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation was held in Baku. 

The meeting focused on the development of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the fields of energy, transport, agriculture, technology transfer, and the expansion of trade turnover.

The event featured speeches by the Azerbaijani Co-Chair of the Commission, Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov, and the Moldovan Co-Chair, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Vladimir Bolea.

At the end of the meeting, a Protocol outlining the outcomes of the 6th session was signed. The document envisions the further expansion of bilateral cooperation in areas such as trade, agriculture, food safety, energy, transport, science and technology, humanitarian issues, healthcare, culture, intellectual property, environment, sports, and tourism. It is worth noting that the leadership of “Cahan Holding” also participated in the event.

On April 16, the National Business Development Forum was launched in Baku. The main goal of the forum is to enhance dialogue between the government and businesses, expand communication, and discuss proposals across various sectors of the country’s economy. 

Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Javid Gurbanov, along with heads of other leading institutions, delivered speeches. The forum covered the work carried out in Azerbaijan’s transport and digital development sectors, implemented infrastructure projects, and future plans. It is worth noting that the management team of “Cahan Group of Companies” also participated in the forum.

On April 28, a conference dedicated to World Day for Safety and Health at Work and the 120th anniversary of the first collective agreement was held at Gulustan Palace in Baku, under the theme “The Impact of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence on Workplaces.”

The event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation, and the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation. It was attended by representatives of official state bodies, international organizations, social partners, and both international and local experts in labor relations.

On April 30, a conference titled “Constitution and Sovereignty – The Development of Entrepreneurship in Nakhchivan”, dedicated to Entrepreneurs’ Day and the “Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty” in the Republic of Azerbaijan (2025), was held at the Nakhchivan Palace.

The event was organized with the support of the Authorized Representative Office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the Entrepreneurs Confederation of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Prior to the conference, participants visited the monument of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the founder of modern Azerbaijan’s economy.

Abbas Ismayilov, Deputy Minister and Acting Minister of Economy of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, opened the conference with a welcome speech. Afterwards, a film dedicated to Entrepreneurs’ Day, a presentation of the “Invest in Nakhchivan” web page, and a session on “Concessional Financial Support” were presented to the participants.

At the conference, Vugar Abbasov, Chairman of the Board of the Entrepreneurs Confederation of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Vice President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (ASK), delivered a speech informing attendees about the Confederation’s activities and achievements. It should be noted that senior officials from relevant government bodies and representatives of public associations of entrepreneurs also took part in the conference.
