On November 14, within the framework of COP29, a panel titled “Climate Leaders’ Dialogue – Business” was held.


The panel was attended by Vuqar Abbasov, the founder of Cahan Group of Companies, Vice President of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation, and Chairman of the Nakhchivan Entrepreneurs Confederation.


Discussions focused on the role of businesses in the transition to a green economy, the public-private sector dialogue in this field, and directions for partnership.

A contribution to greening from “Cahan Holding.”

Within the framework of the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World,” a large-scale tree-planting campaign was carried out on the initiative of “Cahan Group of Companies” in the areas surrounding the group’s enterprises. Aiming to promote ecological values, the campaign also included cleaning and landscaping work in the area, during which over 300 fruit trees were planted. Employees of “Cahan” actively participated in the campaign, which was aimed at contributing to the protection of nature.

Nov 26: “State-Business Cooperation and Outcomes” Event at State Tax Service

On November 26, an event on “State-Business Cooperation and Outcomes” was held at the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy. The discussions focused on the impact of tax reforms on entrepreneurship in our country, improvements in legislation, and the active participation of business entities in the process.

 

The event was attended by representatives of government institutions, private sector representatives, business associations, and independent experts. Also present was Vuqar Abbasov, founder of “Cahan Group of Companies,” Vice President of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation, and Chairman of the Nakhchivan Entrepreneurs Confederation.

On December 2, a meeting of the Azerbaijan-Russia Business Council was held in Baku.

On December 2, a meeting of the Azerbaijan-Russia Business Council was held in Baku. During the event, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov emphasized the development of cooperation between the two countries and the importance of the Council as a partnership mechanism.


Samad Gurbanov, providing information about the Council’s activities, spoke about the efforts made to develop trade relations and support the Azerbaijani business community. Emin Agalarov, the newly elected Chairman of the Council’s Board, highlighted the importance of intensifying business dialogue and expanding partnership opportunities.


The event was attended by officials and representatives of over 90 organizations from various sectors of the economy, including the executive team of “Cahan Group of Companies.”

On December 6, an event titled “State-Business Dialogue Platform and Prospects” was held in Nakhchivan.

On December 6, an event titled “State-Business Dialogue Platform and Future Prospects” was held in Nakhchivan city.

 

The event began with a visit to the monument of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, majestically erected in the main square of Nakhchivan, where his memory was respectfully honored. The event continued at “Nakhchivan Palace,” where discussions focused on economic development in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, business, investment climate, and the role of entrepreneurship and the private sector in economic growth.

 

The event was opened with an introductory speech by Vuqar Abbasov, founder of “Cahan Group of Companies.” Representatives from the Authorized Representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the State Tax Service, Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation, Nakhchivan Entrepreneurs Confederation, and local entrepreneurs took part.

It was noted that the decree signed by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on November 5, 2024, regarding the establishment of an Industrial Park in Nakhchivan represents another form of state support for private sector development, playing an important role in fostering state-private dialogue and cooperation.

 

Leaders of enterprises within “Cahan Group of Companies” also attended the event. The forum concluded with extensive discussions based on questions and proposals from the entrepreneurs.

On December 17, the “Customs-Business Forum 2024” was held in Baku, organized by the State Customs Committee and the Azerbaijan National Confederation of Entrepreneurs Organizations.


The forum aimed to strengthen customs-business cooperation and create a business platform for joint discussion of projects implemented during the current year and those planned for the future with representatives of the private sector and other interested parties.


The forum was attended by representatives from the public and private sectors, the community, scholars and experts specializing in customs organization, and media representatives. It is worth noting that Vuqar Abbasov, Vice President of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation, Chairman of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Entrepreneurs Confederation, and founder of “Cahan Group of Companies,” also participated in the forum.

Dec 26: Turkish Chambers Union General Assembly Held in Baku

On December 26, the General Assembly of the Union of Turkish Chambers and Commodity Exchanges was held in Baku.


The meeting featured speeches by Elnur Aliyev, First Deputy Minister of Economy; Məmməd Musayev, President of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs (Employers) Confederation (ASK); Kubanichbek Omuraliev, Secretary-General of the Turkic Council (TDT); and Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Chairman of the Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry.


The assembly discussed the existence of the Turkic Investment Fund, ways to increase mutual investments, and expanding opportunities for participation in projects. By a vote of the assembly members, the leadership of the Union of Turkish Chambers and Commodity Exchanges was transferred to Azerbaijan.


It is worth noting that the meeting was also attended by Vuqar Abbasov, Vice President of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation, Chairman of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Entrepreneurs Confederation, founder of “Cahan Group of Companies,” along with the company’s executive team.

On January 29, a Turkey–Azerbaijan–Uzbekistan business forum was held in Ankara.

 

The forum discussed opportunities to strengthen economic cooperation among the three countries, increase the effectiveness of business partnerships, expand trade relations, and promote investment projects of strategic importance to the region.

 

The business forum was attended by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, Turkey’s Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, and Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade Laziz Kudratov. It is worth noting that the founder of “Cahan Group of Companies,” Vuqar Abbasov, also participated in the event.
