On October 9, a business visit of the Azerbaijani delegation to Kuwait took place.

 

During the visit, the Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with Subaih Abdul Aziz Abdul Mohsen Al-Mukhaizim — Kuwait’s Minister of Finance, Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Acting Minister of Economic Affairs and Investment, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Investment Authority.

 

The meeting focused on opportunities for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kuwait in trade, tourism, traditional and renewable energy, agriculture, transport, and transit sectors. The Minister noted that within the framework of the business visit to Kuwait, discussions were held with Rabah Abdulrahman Al-Rabah, Director General of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry, on increasing trade turnover and mutual investments, as well as promoting dialogue between business communities.

Cahan Tobacco International” Successfully Represented at “InterTabac 2025”!

From September 18 to 20, “Cahan Tobacco International” proudly participated for the third time in InterTabac 2025, one of the world’s largest tobacco exhibitions, held in Dortmund, Germany.

Presenting its locally produced cigarettes under the “Made in Azerbaijan” brand, the company attracted great interest from both visitors and international exporters.

 

This year’s exhibition drew special attention from partners across various global markets, including Italy, the United Kingdom, Germany, the UAE, Ukraine, Poland, the USA, Serbia, and Mongolia. Initial discussions have already begun to explore collaboration in these regions. 

 

As Cahan Tobacco International, we remain committed to strengthening our export potential, increasing foreign currency inflows to the country, and supporting the local economy. We will continue to take an active role in international exhibitions and proudly represent our country in global markets under the “Made in Azerbaijan” brand.

AIIF 2025 – The 1st Azerbaijan International Investment Forum Kicks Off in Baku

The 1st Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2025) is being held in Baku on September 22–23. Organized by AZPROMO with the strategic partnership of The European House – Ambrosetti (TEHA), and supported by “Euronews” and “Sea Breeze” as media and organizational partners, the forum aims to bring together government officials, business leaders, and international investors.

 

The event provides a unique platform to explore the investment opportunities of countries located at the strategic crossroads of East and West, as well as to shape the future of global trade and sustainable supply chains. On the first day of the forum, a plenary session and four panel discussions were held on topics such as regional strategic integration, transit opportunities, energy and infrastructure projects, innovations, green energy, real estate, urban development, and sustainable growth.

 

It should be noted that Vice President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (ASK), Chairman of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Entrepreneurs Confederation, and Founder of “Cahan Holding” Vugar Abbasov also took part in the forum.

The 11th Meeting of the Azerbaijan–Hungary Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation Held in Budapest

On September 5, the 11th meeting of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Governments of Azerbaijan and Hungary was held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.


Prior to the meeting, the Azerbaijani delegation visited the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Hungary and laid flowers at the bust of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.During the meeting, Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev and Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó discussed the current state of bilateral cooperation, opportunities for its expansion, as well as the agenda of the next session of the Joint Commission. It should be noted that the leadership of “Cahan Holding” also participated in the meeting.

Within the framework of the “Cahan Group of Companies’ 30th Anniversary Program,” social initiatives are continuing.

 

Thus, with the support of “Cahan Group of Companies” LLC, at the Nakhchivan Palace, under the organization of the Public Union “Veterans of Special Forces, Families of Martyrs and War Invalids” and with the financial support of the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a cooperation forum of Azerbaijani and Turkish veterans and families of martyrs was held within the framework of the project “Strengthening Work with Veterans of Special Forces and Families of Martyrs.”

 

In his speech, Chief of Staff of “Cahan Group of Companies” LLC, Azer Jafarov, expressed deep respect and gratitude to the families of the heroic sons of both nations and the veterans, noting that “Cahan Group of Companies” is ready to support the families of martyrs and veterans not only on holidays and official days, but at any time they are in need of assistance.

At the end of the event, commemorative gifts from “Cahan Group of Companies” and letters of appreciation from the Public Union “Veterans of Special Forces, Families of Martyrs and War Invalids” were presented to the participants.

 

Chairman of the Public Union, Behruz Mammadov, expressed his gratitude to “Cahan Group of Companies” and presented a letter of appreciation to the company’s Chief of Staff.

It should be noted that the event was attended by the Head of the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Nakhchivan, the Chief of Staff of “Cahan Group of Companies” LLC, and other state officials.

Backed by the "Cahan Group of Companies" and the Nakhchivan Association of Martyrs’ Families, 63 martyr families visited Shusha.

At the initiative of “Jahan Group of Companies” and the Nakhchivan Public Association of Martyrs’ Families, 63 family members of martyrs from Nakhchivan paid a visit to Shusha. The visit, organized on 13–14 August, aimed to introduce Shusha and other liberated territories of Azerbaijan to the children, families, and relatives of the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country’s freedom.


As part of the program, the participants first visited the bust of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, laid flowers at the monument, and honored his memory. Afterwards, they departed for Baku, where they received a warm welcome at the airport before continuing their journey to Shusha. On the first day, 13 August, the martyr families accommodated at the “Kharibulbul” Hotel visited the Shusha Fortress. In the evening, an art workshop was organized for children, whose drawings were later exhibited in the hotel lobby, and they were presented with engaging illustrated books. 


On the second day, the participants visited Isa Spring, Jidir Plain, the Mausoleum of Molla Panah Vagif, and the Govhar Agha Mosque, followed by a meeting at the Shusha City Executive Authority. After lunch, the delegation departed for Baku.Throughout the visit, heartfelt conversations were held with the martyr families, their concerns and needs were heard, and the initiative was recognized as a meaningful contribution to addressing their need for moral support, as well as reaffirming the state’s care and attention towards them.


 “Cahan Group of Companies” and the Nakhchivan Public Association of Martyrs’ Families expressed their gratitude to the Presidential Representative Office for its support in organizing the visit.

This journey will remain both a tribute to the memory of the heroes who gave their lives for the Motherland and a cherished, spiritually valuable experience for their families.

July 30: “The Voice of Law Will Not Be Silenced” theater performance staged in Nakhchivan

On July 30, as part of the “Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty,” a theater performance titled “Legal Stage – The Voice of Law Will Not Be Silenced” was held at Entertainment Island in the city of Nakhchivan.


The event began with the screening of a video prepared by Nakhchivan Television in connection with the “Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty.” This was followed by a performance of the play, staged by the Nakhchivan State Children’s Theater and organized by the Nakhchivan City Executive Authority. The performance was met with great interest from the public.


At the end of the event — held in cooperation with the Nakhchivan City Executive Authority, the Nakhchivan State Children’s Theater, and the “Cahan Group of Companies” — active participants in the play were awarded certificates of appreciation and valuable gifts by the organizers.

“Cahan Group” holds regular occupational safety awareness events; latest at “ENNA” LLC.

“Cahan Group of Companies” continues organizing regular occupational safety awareness events. The latest event was held at “ENNA” LLC.

 

 

The latest event was held at “ENNA” LLC, jointly organized by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Labour Inspectorate Service, and the Occupational Safety Center.

Representatives from other ministry departments and employees of “ENNA” LLC participated in the meeting.

 

The event covered detailed information on occupational safety and hygiene, workplace certification, recent amendments to the Labor Code, activities of the Occupational Safety Center, as well as newly adopted standards related to occupational safety.

 

The requirements of labor legislation were brought to the attention of the participants.

Following the presentations, participants’ questions on the discussed topics were answered.

Shusha Hosted the 6th ECO Business Forum

On July 2, the 6th Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Business Forum was held in the city of Shusha. The event was organized by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Export and Investment Promotion Agency – AZPROMO, the ECO Secretariat, and the ECO Chamber of Commerce and Industry Confederation.

 

The forum was held as part of the “ECO Week,” initiated for the first time by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. The event brought together government officials, representatives of ECO and other international organizations, as well as heads of chambers of commerce and industry from ECO member states.

 

Participants discussed the deepening of economic cooperation among member countries, regional investment opportunities, digitalization of transport and logistics systems, and the establishment of unified platforms to simplify customs procedures. It was emphasized that increased involvement of the private sector in shaping regional strategies, along with strengthening public-private partnerships on an institutional basis, is of great importance.

 

It should be noted that Vugar Abbasov, Vice President of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation, Chairman of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Entrepreneurs Confederation, and Founder of the “Cahan Group of Companies,” also took part in the forum.
