On July 11, an Economic Conference was held in Nicosia, the capital of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), jointly organized by the Union of Chambers of Commerce of Turkey and the TRNC.

The conference was attended by TRNC President Ersin Tatar, Vice President of the Republic of Turkey Cevdet Yılmaz, TRNC Parliament Speaker Ziya Öztürkler, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, and numerous business leaders. The meeting involved discussions on expanding bilateral trade relations and increasing mutual investment opportunities.

In addition to representatives from the business communities of Turkey and the TRNC, participants from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan also took part in the event.

The main goal of the conference was to further strengthen economic cooperation between Turkey and the TRNC and to support the rightful struggle of the Turkish Cypriot people.

It is worth noting that Vugar Abbasov, Vice President of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation, Chairman of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Entrepreneurs Confederation, and Founder of the “Cahan Group of Companies,” also participated in the forum.
