A Business Forum was held within the framework of economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey.

On May 8, as part of the 11th Regular Meeting of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, a large-scale Business Forum was organized through the collaboration of the Foreign Economic Relations Council (DEİK) of Azerbaijan and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).

At the opening ceremony, Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Ali Asadov and Turkey’s Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz spoke about the high level of economic and trade relations and the strategic partnership between the two countries. The forum included discussions on cooperation opportunities in various sectors and meetings aimed at expanding ties between business circles.

Alongside leading Azerbaijani companies, the management team of “Cahan Group of Companies”  also participated. Company representatives actively engaged in the forum’s events to establish contacts with potential partners and explore mutual cooperation opportunities.

As part of Autism Awareness Month, the “Blue Hearts” group made a visit to Nakhchivan.

As part of Autism Awareness Month, the “Blue Hearts” group made a visit to Nakhchivan.

Sponsored by “Cahan Holding” and organized in partnership with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic’s public association “Sevinc — Support for the Development of National-Spiritual Values and Synthesis with Modern Challenges” and the public association “Birgə və Sağlam” (“Together and Healthy”), the visit involved teachers and students from the “Birgə və Sağlam” association as well as the “Blue Hearts” choir and rhythm group, which is composed of young people with autism.

On the first day of the visit, the group toured the Nakhchivan Automobile Plant, followed by visits to the Ajami Promenade and the Khan Palace, where they were provided with detailed information.

The second day included events at the Nakhchivan Teachers Institute and Nakhchivan State University.

During the visit, the “Blue Hearts” choir and rhythm group performed songs, poems, and musical pieces. The young participants spent their leisure time playing games on the Entertainment Island.

Such events, which hold great educational significance, are planned to continue in the future.

On May 21, the 2nd Azerbaijan–Uzbekistan Interregional Forum was held in Guba.

The forum focused on discussing the economic potential of the regions of both countries and opportunities to enhance cooperation. Bilateral documents were signed, and B2B meetings were held.

The event was attended by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy, Mikayil Jabbarov, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment and Industry, Laziz Kudratov, as well as businesspeople, representatives of business structures, and government officials from both countries.

During the forum, participants reviewed the progress made on tasks set during previous sessions and evaluated ways to strengthen cooperation between the business communities of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. The leadership of “Cahan Holding LLC” also took part in the event.

The forum was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Igor Petrishenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Ahmadov, Deputy Chairman of the Belarus Chamber of Commerce and Industry Denis Meleshenko, as well as government officials and business representatives from both countries.

During the event, three agreements were signed in the areas of tourism, joint organization of international exhibitions, and the supply of various product types for sale at the “Azerbaijan Trade House.”

On July 5, a meeting was held with entrepreneurs dedicated to the presentation of the “DOST Inspector” project.

On July 5, a meeting was held between the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population and entrepreneurs, organized by the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) of Azerbaijan, on the topic “Regulation of Labour and Employment Relations, Presentation of the ‘DOST Inspector’ Project.”

During the meeting, the current situation regarding the issuance of work permits for employees of companies operating in the liberated territories was discussed. Innovations within the Labour and Employment Subsystem (ƏMAS) in this field were also presented.

The event was attended by President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs Mammad Musayev, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection Anar Aliyev, Head of the State Labour Inspection Service Vali Guliyev, as well as representatives of the management of “Cahan Holding Group.”

On July 7, the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation (AAF) organized the Electric Vehicles Festival in Baku.

On July 7, the Electric Vehicles Festival was held in Baku, organized by the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation (AAF). The event was part of the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World” and was held ahead of COP29 to highlight the importance of eco-friendly vehicles and promote their advantages to the public. The festival took place in White City, where electric and hybrid vehicles—transport solutions that do not harm the environment—were showcased.

The festival was held for the first time and featured the participation of “Cahan Motors.” The company presented the fully electric model E-QM5 and the hybrid model H5 of the “Hongqi” brand, a premium Chinese car manufacturer for which it is the official distributor in Azerbaijan. The event was also supported by the White City project, “Azərişıq” OJSC, and “Azərenerji” OJSC.

The festival was attended by Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Anar Alakbarov and Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev. Director of “Cahan Motors,” Adil Akhundov, shared detailed information about the showcased vehicles.

A volleyball tournament for teenage girls was held competing for the “Autonomy Cup,” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Nakhchivan.

A volleyball tournament for teenage girls competing for the “Autonomy Cup,” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, was held.

The competition, featuring teams from Azerbaijan and Turkey, began on September 4. The tournament was organized jointly by the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and the Nakhchivan Volleyball Federation. Eight teams participated in the event.

On September 7, Fuad Najafli, the Authorized Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, attended the final match. The intense and exciting game between the teams “Nakhchivan” and “Eskişehir” was watched by a large audience at the Olympic Sports Complex.

The match ended with a 3-2 victory for the “Eskişehir” team. Following the game, an award ceremony was held where the top three winners of the “Autonomy Cup” were honored. Azer Jafar, Head of the Executive Office of “Cahan Group of Companies” LLC, took part in the award ceremony.

It is worth noting that “Cahan Group of Companies” LLC was among the sponsors involved in organizing the event.

During the meeting, discussions took place regarding the operational principles of the Azerbaijan Arbitration Center to be established within the Confederation, participation in the upcoming COP29 event, and other pressing issues.

Kamal Mammadzade, director of De Novo Company, gave a presentation on the benefits the Azerbaijan Arbitration Center would bring to the national economy as an alternative dispute resolution mechanism, the selection process of arbitrators, and the stages of establishing activities in this field. He also answered questions from entrepreneurs and clarified principles of cooperation, especially with foreign arbitrators.

Sept 17: Azerbaijan-Iraq Business Forum held in Baku

On September 17, the Azerbaijan-Iraq Business Forum was held in Baku, organized jointly by the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Trade of Iraq, with support from the Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) and the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of Iraq.

 

The event was attended by officials from both countries, as well as nearly 100 businessmen working in agriculture, food, logistics, construction, consulting, shipping, and other sectors. The executive team of “Cahan Group of Companies” also participated.

 

In his speech, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov emphasized that the historically rich Azerbaijan-Iraq relations have developed thanks to the visionary policies of the heads of state. Iraq’s Minister of Trade, Ater Dawood Al-Gureyri, stated that there are historic ties between the two countries and expressed his country’s interest in expanding relations with Azerbaijan.

 

It was noted that the signing of agreements and memoranda of understanding covering political, social, tourism, and transportation areas has further strengthened the partnership between the two countries.

Sept 26: 2nd Azerbaijan-GCC Economic Forum held in Baku

On September 26, the 2nd Economic Forum of the member countries of the Azerbaijan-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) was held in Baku. The forum was organized with the support of the Ministry of Economy and the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO).


Yusif Abdullayev, Executive Director of AZPROMO, stated that the first economic forum of the Azerbaijan-Gulf Cooperation Council member countries was held in Baku in 2017. 


The forum discussed cooperation with Gulf countries in renewable and clean energy, electricity, and water sectors, as well as challenges and opportunities in the transportation and logistics sectors between the GCC and Azerbaijan. It is worth noting that the executive team of “Cahan Group of Companies” also participated in the forum.
